Dr. John LaMattina

Dr. John LaMattina is an Associate Professor of surgery at the University of Chicago. With over a decade of experience, Dr. LaMattina holds special interest in living donor liver and kidney transplant. His team has performed around 100 liver transplants and has developed the largest series in the world for single port nephrectomy. He has received training from the Harvard University Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital as well as The University of Wisconsin Hospital.

He is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Souther Arizona Veterans Affairs Health Care System Tucson in Arizona, USA. He has particular interest and numerous publications on management of chronic liver disease, Liver transplantation, Drug induced liver failure, HCC and its surveillance and NAFLD. He has been awarded with certificate of excellence by University of Colorado, Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology and Certificate of merit by American College of Physicians.

Prof. Norah Terrault

She is a Professor of Medicine and Chief of Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California. She has received her MD from the University of Alberta and completed fellowships in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the University of Toronto and a Master’s in Public Health at the University of California at Berkeley.

He is holding the MD degree, is Head of the Internal Medicine and Liver Unit of the Hospital Universitario Val d’Hebron in Barcelona, Spain and Professor of Medicine at the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona. He has a long-standing interest in the management of chronic viral hepatitis and runs a clinical research program studying the natural history of viral hepatitis, its impact upon patients and their communities and novel therapies for this disease
