Message from DR Bushra Ali

It gives me great pleasure to write a few lines on the occasion of the 23rd Annual Congress of Pakistan Society of Hepatology (PSH.). PSH was founded in June 2001 in Karachi and has been striving since then to improve practice of Hepatology in Pakistan. Today, it has assumed a leading position to provide opportunities of development of professional competency and proficiency of those who come across liver diseases in everyday clinical practice and who want to contribute to the betterment of liver care in Pakistan.

This year the meeting is being held at karachi. As always, there are state-of-the-art lectures and sessions consisting of enlightening talks on a broad range of topics of current interest. Young researchers will benefit from an interactive workshop on research methodology. An effort has been made to request the presence of our learned foreign speakers online. Our national faculty will add to the charm and diversity by being present in Lahore. Consultant physicians, Gastroenterologists, junior doctors and Primary Care Physicians are invited whole heartedly to help make this Congress a success and to join us in karachi. Standard Operating Procedures (SoPs) prescribed by the government will be strictly adhered to. We look forward to welcoming all doctors to karachi and also hosting them online.
