Professor of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, working at Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital Islamabad in Hepatology and Transplant Department. He is also Director Endoscopy and Advanced Endoscopic Procedures at the Hospital.

Trained in Hepatology at Royal Free Hospital London and for luminal work in USA at Shands Hospital University of Florida. He has been practicing Gastroenterology and Hepatology for last 25 years.

Previously served as Advisor to Armed Forces of Pakistan for GI services and Professor at Army Medical College and at Armed Forces Post Graduate Medical Institute. He headed development of Liver Transplant Unit and Advanced Endoscopy Facilities in Armed Forces. He has been trainer of Post graduate students for FCPS Gastroenterology in Armed Forces of Pakistan.

He is member ASGE, AGA and Ex Vice President of Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology. He is Executive member of PSSLD. He has numerous National and International Publications to his credit.

His research interests are Advanced Endoscopic procedures and Endoscopic ultrasound. In Hepatology he has special interest in HCV and HBV.
