Introduction to Pakistan Society of Hepatology Congress 2026

It gives me immense pleasure and honor to welcome all the national and international delegates to the Pakistan Society of Hepatology Congress 2026.

As a Past President of the Pakistan Society of Hepatology (PSH), I feel privileged and delighted to witness the remarkable progress the Society has made over the years, particularly in its growing membership and its expanding reach across Pakistan.

The Scientific Committee has worked tirelessly to put together a comprehensive and robust scientific program, as reflected in the agenda. I am confident that this Congress will provide valuable updates and insights into all major aspects of hepatology , as well as liver transplantation, the enormous challenges posed by hepatitis B and C, and liver cancer in Pakistan. The program will also highlight the latest advances, emerging therapies, and contemporary developments in these rapidly evolving fields.

It is also a great pleasure to welcome you to Karachi, a vibrant and dynamic city known for its diverse shopping centers, beautiful beaches, pleasant evening sea breeze, extensive culinary offerings, and numerous opportunities for sightseeing. Most importantly, Karachi is renowned for the warmth and hospitality of its people.

I encourage all delegates to take full advantage of the excellent scientific sessions while also taking some time to enjoy the hospitality, culture, and many attractions that this wonderful city has to offer.
