Professor Tayyab holds MBBS, FCPS, MRCP (UK), FRCP (Edinburgh), and AGAF (USA) credentials and has been involved in the teaching, training, and practice of medicine, gastroenterology, and liver diseases for more than three decades. His particular expertise includes advanced therapeutic endoscopy, ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, POEM, and the management of complex hepatobiliary and post-liver-transplant biliary disorders. He currently serves as Dean, Faculty of Gastroenterology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, and continues to contribute actively to postgraduate education, research, and specialist training. He is also a Past President of the Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology (2021–2023) and remains closely engaged with national and international gastroenterology organizations.
